1. Nanay Marina and Tatay Benjamin

Nanay Marina and Tatay Benjamin are senior citizen residents of Brgy Malinao. At their ripe ages of 73 and 74 respectively, they have been working as farmers almost all their lives. They also collect firewood to sell for extra money. Three coconut trees crushed their humble home during the typhoon and they would work rain or shine to save what they could for rebuilding their home.

Project Paradise has supported them with a building kit of corrugated sheets, plywood for walls and floors as well as nails and tools. The construction phase has just finished and Nanay Marina and Tatay Benjamin are blessed with a new home. 
 

2. Tatay Prudencio

Prudencio, 64, a resident of Barangay Consuelo. His home was ravaged by the typhoon and he was only able to scavenge bits of his old home to use for a make-shift shelter. 

Project Paradise has now delivered materials for his house rehabilitation and soon he will have proper shelter once again.

3. Ate Yang Yang and Kuya Jojo

Ate Yang Yang and Jojo are couples living in Purok 5, Buyobudhan, General Luna. Their house was completely wrecked after the storm leaving them with nothing to rebuild with. Jojo is a foreman and has vouched to rebuild his house with a concrete structure.

With the help of your donations, they have now received a building kit of materials but with the rainy season coming, have experienced delays in constructing their house. Hopefully, with summer season coming up, they will start the rebuilding process Mid March 2022.

4. Evelyn Noval "Ate Belen"

Ate Belen is one of the known "Mang Hihilot" (Masseur) in Siargao. She has always been a good help to the community by providing body therapy. She lost her house, masseuse business and three boats due to Typhoon Odette.

 

With the help of your donations, they have finished rebuilding their home and finally have a roof under their heads.

5. Marino Botecario (Menii)

Menii is 64 years old and living in General Luna. He used to work as a driver but stopped due to a disability in the arms from a muscle atrophy. His house was destroyed by the typhoon and he has no money or physical capabilities to rebuild. He lives alone in his land but some people help him with his basic daily needs in order to keep going.
He currently has some wood to rebuild his home and is now only waiting for the delivery of materials. 

6. Jaime Blancada

Jaime, 65, together with his wife, 75, and their two puppies live at the last few houses in Kabitoonan, far away from proper access to the main barangay and neighborhood. They have been working as land care-takers and rice farmers. Currently, they are waiting for the delivery of building materials so they can begin their re-construction.

With the help of your donations, they have all the construction materials and are half-way through the rebuilding process. 

7. Tomasito Helparo

66 year old Tomasita, mother of 10 sons and grandmother of 4 kids living in Magsaysay area. She stopped working for more than 10 years already due to a disability in her leg, she also helps at a farm in Magsaysay. Her house was completely destroyed by typhoon Odette and she has no money or fisical capabilities to rebuild. 

Project Paradise has successfully provided Tomasito and his family the building materials and now have a structured house to live in. 

8. Fidel, Remedy and Felicity

Fidel works with the delivery team of J&T while Remedy is unemployed and stays at home with their daughter Felicity.

The family has now received their construction materials and will be soon starting the rebuilding process.

9. Loloy, Pia, Bebe and Joyjoy

Loloy is a jack of all trades, often working as a tricycle driver and sometimes as a carpenter. He works hard to support his wife, Pia, who suffers from a chronic stomach illness, and his two daughters, Bebe and Joyjoy.

With the help of your donations their family has now completed rebuilding their home!

10. Mary Fe, Yuliver and Aries

Mary Fe is a cook in Kuan restaurant. She lives in Purok 5 where she lost her house. Aside from being a cook, Mary Fe is a loving wife and mother to his husband Yuliver and daughter Aries.

With the help of Project Paradise, they have received constrution materials and have started rebuilding their home.
